TROOPS OF 141 INFANTRY BRIGADE HELPED NOTHER NEEDY STUDENTS AT KATANA

With the coordination of the civil affairs officer of 141 Infantry Brigade another community project was launched in order to strengthen the civil military cooperation in line with the "Army Way Forward Strategy 2020-2025". The project was funded by a monetary donation received by the "Sewanak Wemu" Foundation (NGO) to distribute educational accessories for 45 needy students who are studying at Pope Paul the 6th National School in Halpe, Katana on 10 January 2022.

The programme was launched under the close supervision of the Brigade Commander of 141 Infantry Brigade with the direction of the General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division and the Commander Security Forces (West). As a consequence, each student belonging to a low-income family received a school bag and a book set. The total amount of the donation is Rs. 126,000.00.

The Brigade Commander of 141 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier S P G Gamage RWP RSP USP, Civil Affairs Officer of 141 Infantry Brigade Col P K V K P Rodrigo, Secretary of the "Sewanak Wemu Foundation," Mrs. Sabeetha Vindani Sarap, the principal, parents, teachers, and students participated at the programme.
