To coincide with the 72nd Army Anniversary, a newly-constructed house was handed over to a low income family of Mrs. Pradeepa Niroshini living in Attanagalle area on 21st October 2021 by the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Pradeep Gamage.
The house was built under the Direction of Commander Security Forces (West) with the guidance of GOC – 14 Infantry Division along with the Supervision of Commander 141 Infantry Brigade. The construction work was carried out by the troops of 6th Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) with the support of 12 Engineer Services Squadron of 1st Engineer Service Regiment. Funds for raw materials to construct the house were donated by the ‘Sewanak wemu’ foundation. The ceremony was held with presence of Commander 141 Infantry Brigade and his staff, Commanding Officer 6 SLA and his staff, members of the ‘Sevanak Wemu Foundation’ and gathering of residents in the area.
