SADAHIRU STUPA ‘CREST - GEM’ AND ‘SACRED PINNACLE’ TO BE PARADED THROUGHT COUNTRY

The exposition of the ‘Crest - Gem’ and the sacred ‘Pinnacle’ of Sadahiru Stupa which is scheduled to be travelled by a procession of vehicles to forty eight temples covering eighteen districts throughout the island for public veneration, its journey commenced amidst religious blessings of Maha Sanga from the Hunupitiya, Gangaramaya temple on 08th August to Kalani Rajamaha Viharaya on 11th August 2021.

Subsequently, The Comd SF (West) Maj Gen D G S Senarathyapa RWP RSP ndu, the CSO and the Col Comdt of SLSC Maj Gen P A J Peiris ndu, the Bde Comd of 212 Inf Bde Brig R P A R P Rajapaksa RSP, BAQ SFHQ (West) Brig G D R U K Galhenage , Brig (Coord )Brig D H K S Wijeratne RSP , the Bde Comd of 144 Inf Bde Col K M V Kodithuwakku, snr offrs, offrs and ORs who participated at the event attended for the religious activities held at Kalani Rajamaha Viharaya on 11th August 2021.

SLSC and SLLI contributed their dancing groups to make this religious festival colourful and 2nd (Vol) battalion of SLLI involved for the security and admin matters in parallel to the event.
