COMMANDER SF (WEST) VISITS 141 & 144 INFANTRY BRIGADES

Major General HLVM Liyange RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force Headquarters (West) paid a visit to 141 and 144 infantry brigades and 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry under command to the 14 Infantry Division on 29 June 2021. The day’s itinerary got underway in accordance with military formalities and the Commander who visited 144 Infantry Brigade was warmly welcomed by the Commander 14 Infantry Division, Major General DGS Senarathyapa RWP RSP NDU and Commander 144 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier WSK Liyanawaduge RSP.

Upon his reach to the 141 Infantry Brigade, greeted with a drive pass at the entrance Commander was welcomed by the Brigade Commander, Brigadier SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP .Before the departure, Commander Security Forces (West) planted a sapling to mark the official visit to the Brigade .Later on the Commander and all other senior officers joined to visit the Headquarter 8^th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry in order to inspect the welfare of the troops and the camp premises.

During the visit the respective Brigade commanders made comprehensive briefings at their respective Headquarters. Security of the area, welfare of the troops and the contribution of troops to prevent the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the area were discussed in depth during the discussion and the Commander appreciated the commitment of troops who rendered their potential service in this crucial juncture and directed respective officers to render their invaluable service in future too.
