Extending the warm and best wishes to all Officers and Other Ranks for the Year 2021, the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General K W R de Abrew RWP RSP USP psc Hdmc made his presence for the occasion of flag hoisting to mark the dawning of the New Year 2021.
The formal function was held in front of the main office complex of Headquarters Security Force (West) and there the Commander Security Forces (West) gathered in hoisting the National Flag which was followed by two minutes silence to tribute for fallen war heroes.
Then, the Staff Officer I (Logistics) Lt Col Pradeep Vithanage read out the oath of state service and second in command of the 2(V) SLAMC Major Chinthaka Wijesinghe read out the health guidelines for Covid 19.
Later, the Commander Security Force (West) addressed all troops performing duties at the Headquarters. In his address, Commander extended wishes for them and their families a happy and prosperous New Year.
Brigadier (Administration and Quartering) Brigadier Mahesh Abeyrathne along with Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks performing duties at the Headquarters Security Force (West) made their presence to mark the dawning of the New Year.
