Troops of 6 Gemunu Watch (GW) of the 142 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters - West have successfully engaged to control raging fire that has broken out in a garbage dump at Madampitiya - Mutwal area after the Army assistance was sought around 02.00 p.m on Saturday (18).
Army troops together with fire fighters in the Fire Brigade and volunteers managed to bring the spreading fire under control.
