On account of ‘Rata Wenuwen Ekata Sitimu’ the national progrmme under the guidance of His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena,got underway in 141 Brigade area and Troops of 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry actively participated for a charity work at the Elders’ Home Udupila, Kelaniya on Wednesday(31) July 2019 .
On the directions of Major General Mahinda Mudalige, Commander Security Forces-West, 35 Army Personnel of 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry under command to 141 Brigade of Security Forces (West) attended to the sanitary needs of the inmates of the Elders’ Home. During the programme, troops offered tea and sumptuous lunch for the inmates.
