INNOVATION EXHIBITION OPENS AT SF HQ(WEST) PREMISES

On the instructions of Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage, Commandant - Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), Overall Operations Commander (Western Province and Puttalam District) and the Commander – SFHQ (West) ‘Innovation Exihibition-2019’ was held at SFHQ(West) Premises on Wednesday(03) July 2019.

With the intention of enhancing innovating skills of the troops in Security Forces (West) AOR 21 creative products were exhibited and given a chance to present their technical and creative talents.

Brigadier DR Dharmasiri USP Hdmc, the Deputy Director- Research Analysis, Project and Development Branch, Mr Ranjan Joseph, Research Officer in the University of Peradeniya and Mr AAMT Adikari, Senior Deputy Director, College of Industrial Technology were among the panel of judges for selection of the best products.

The best innovative products are as follows

1st Place – “ Inter Operatable Radio Communication System Module” made by S/Sgt Sujith Kumara HA – SLASC

2nd Place – “Efficient Electric Rice Steamer for Mass Cooking” made by Capt YIM Perera ,L/Cpl Swarna Kumara RGN and Pte Udayakumara DGS- SLEME

3rd Place –“ Jigsaw Machine with Angle Cutting (45 degree) and no length limit “ made by Cpl Srimal KP-SLSR

4th Place – “Peltier Bottle Cooler for field hospitals and Mobile Medical Teams” made by Capt DMPM Dasanayaka-SLME

5th Place – “Dual Signal System for Motor Vehicles to prevent accidents whilst making turns” made by Sgt Disanayaka DML -MIC
