SF (WEST) TROOPS CONDUCT RELIGIOUS PROGRAMMES ON UNDUWAP FULL MOON POYA DAY
Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Commander, Security Forces - West (SF-West) along with over 900 devotees observed ‘Ata Sil’ at Panagoda Sri Bodhirajaramaya Army temple on Unduwap Full Moon Poya day (22).
The ‘Sil’ programme was organized by the Sri Lanka Army Buddhist Association on the instructions of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake and under the guidance of Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage, Chairman, Army Buddhist Association.
All meals and refreshments to the devotes were served by troops of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) and Sri Lanka National Guards (SLNG) during the programme.
A ‘Bodhi Pooja’ Pinkama towards the end of the day’s arrangement brought the day’s programme to an end.
