TROOPS OF SF -WEST ARE CONTINUOUSLY DOING POST DISASTER RELIEF OPERATIONS
Troops of Security Force West are attending the cleaning of drinking water wells in Divisional Secretariat areas of flood affected in Matara, Galle, Colombo, Kegalle and Ratnapura, in addition to preparation of meals for the displaced people, distribution of dry ration packets, cleaning schools, restoration of damaged road patches and provision of gully bowsers and other heavy machinery to required locations
Troops of 8 Gemunu Watch, 3 (V) Gemunu Watch,16 (V) Gemunu Watch, Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) ,Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC), Sri Lanka Electrical Mechanical and Engineers (SLEME), and Corps of Engineer Services (CES) are rendering those post-disaster services in respective areas of 142 Brigade in Colombo District, 581 Brigade in Galle and Matara Districts, 582 Brigade in Kalutara District and 583 Brigade in Kegalle District.
