SF-West Troops Enlightened on ‘Disaster Management’
In order to educate Army personnel on ‘Disaster Management’, educative lectures were held at the Security Force Headquarters – West (SFHQ-West) during 27-28 February at Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC), auditorium in Panagoda.
8 officers and 182 other rankers of 14 and 58 Divisions under the SFHQ-West underwent this training programme on the instructions of the Commander of the Army and the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces – West (SF-West), Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe.
On the same occasion, Director General, Disaster Management Centre (DMC) and senior officials of the DMC enlightened the attendees on preventive and precautionary measures as well as management procedures.
Senior officers, DMC officials, officers and other rankers attended the lectures.
