The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 14 Division, Major General K.P.A. Jayasekara, made a formal visit to the 141 Brigade Headquarters in Veyangoda under the Security Force Headquarters – West on Tuesday (04).
On arrival, the visiting GOC was honoured in a formal Guard Turnout at the Brigade entrance.
During the visit, 141 Brigade Commander Colonel K. R. K. K. T. Bandara briefly explained the visiting Senior Officer about the tasks and responsibilities of the Brigade.
Furthermore, the visiting Commander planted a tree sapling to mark his visit to the place.
Senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the day’s event.
