Exercise Cormorant Strike - VII’ Certificate Awarding Ceremony Takes Place at ITC Minneriya
The certificate awarding ceremony of the ‘Exercise Cormorant Strike - VII’ and the closing ceremony took place this afternoon (24) at Minneriya Infantry Training Centre (ITC) during a meeting of all participants and observers in the Exercise.
This afternoon’s ceremony, headed by Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Exercise Director saw all participants receive certificates of appreciation before they bade adieu to one another.
Together with 2500 infantrymen, inclusive of 638 sailors and 506 airmen participating, the Exercise, made up largely of Army Commandos and Special Forces attracted a total of 58 foreign service personnel, representing Bangladesh, China, India, Sudan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and the USA, either as participants or observers in the Operation.
