Army Troops Begin Reconstruction of 57 More Homes in Kosgama
Tri service troops actively engaged in the ongoing reconstruction and relief projects in the blast-affected Kosgama - Salawa areas on Friday (24) commenced construction work of a new set of 57 more houses upon completion of repairs to 492 houses.
All those completed 492 houses have now been handed over to the owners or the occupants in the presence of government authorities. At the same time, Navy troops who cleaned 1581 drinking wells with the support of Irrigation Department officials declared that they are now fit for drinking.
However, reconstruction and cleaning work of the Army is in full swing after the Commander of the Army brought the affected areas under four sectors, commanded by four Brigadiers for the express purpose of expediting reconstruction work.
