Troops of the Army School of Engineer at Ambilipitiya in the 583 Brigade area of 58 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-West (SF HQ-West) organized an eye clinic for patients in Thunkama area in on Monday (21) at Sri Gunanandaramaya, Thunkama under the guidance of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SF HQ-West.
A total of 259 patients received spectacles worth Rs 233,100.00 during the clinic which was conducted by the eye surgeon Dr. Nimal Weerakoon, together with Mahanuwara Opticals (Pvt) Ltdunder the supervision of Major General K.C. Gunawardane, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division and Brigadier Randula Hathnagoda, Commander, 583 Brigade.
Ven. Habarakada Pannanada Thero, Chief Incumbent at Sri Gunanandaramaya, Senior Officers, government officials attended the event.
