Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) at the request of Health Ministry, under the directions of Ministry of Defence and Army Headquarters, is currently conducting a Dengue Prevention Program in Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts with the participation of more than 400 troops serving the SFHQ-West.
The project (July 09 - July 11) is closely monitored by Major General U.A.B. Medawela, Commander, SFHQ - West.
The project expects to root out the spread of epidemic from the vulnerable areas as projected by respective officers of District Medical Offices.
