The Angoda Hirukirana Social Care Foundation has organized a blood donation campaign for 21 times since 2003 in order to commemorate the 31st anniversary of the late Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa and the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the last humanitarian operation. The campaign was held at Somadevi Girls' College Kotikawatta on 13 August 2023.
Accordingly, as per the directions of the Commander Security Forces (West) troops of 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry of 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) participated in this noble project.
Thus, certificates were also presented to those who donated blood during the campaign by the organizing committee.
