Another community programme was coordinated by the 61 Infantry Division to distribute stock of medical accessories and equipment to the Arachchikanda general hospital, Baddegama general hospital, Balapitiya general hospital, and Karapitiya general hospital on 14 February 2022.
The programme was launched with the intention of strengthening civil-military collaboration in accordance with the "Army Way Forward Strategy 2020-2025 and it was sponsored by the Sri Lanka Forum of the United States of America.
The stock of medical items has consisted with Disposable KN 95 Masks, disposable Surgical Masks, disposable Gowns, disposable Medical Pail Wipes, disposable Cleanroom Wipes (Serviette White), disposable Gloves, plastic Buckets, face shields, etc.
The General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division Major General D B S N Bothota RWP RSP USP psc, Col GS of 61 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of 61 Infantry Division, and the staff of the aided hospitals attended the programme.
