In line with the Esala Poya Day, troops of Security Forces Headquarters (West) in collaboration with K D Construction Pvt. Ltd. and Mawathgama Tharuna Kela organized a Bath Dansala and Ice cream dansala at Mawathgama College Ground, Homagama on 03 July 2023.
Thereby, each entity played a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event. K D Construction Pvt. Ltd. generously provided dry and fresh rations, while the Army troops offered their cooking facilities to prepare and distribute meals around ten thousand devotees in the Homagama area. In addition, troops played a pivotal role in providing temporary shelters and other basic requirements to facilitate the event a success.
Consequently, the troops of the Security Forces Headquarters (West) worked tirelessly to make this event a resounding success. With the support of K D Construction Pvt. Ltd., they ensured that everyone was served promptly and with the utmost respect. Further, their dedication and commitment exemplified the core values of the armed forces. Other than that, this noble project was a wonderful example of cooperation between the military and the civil society, coming together to celebrate a religious and cultural festival.
The participation of the Army in this compassionate initiative was closely monitored by the Commander of Security Forces (West), in accordance with the approval of Army Headquarters.
