In conjunction with the annual sports meets of Pitipana Kanishta Vidyalaya and Wp/Ho/Watareka Kanishta Vidyalaya, Army personnel serving in the 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery of 142 Infantry Brigade belonging to Security Forces (West) came forward to provide their invaluable assistance by giving instructors to train the students for parades.
The assistance was given by Army personnel, including Officers under the close supervision of the Commander 142 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, on the directions of the Commander Security Forces (West) on 03 March 2023, in response to the request made by the school authorities.
Further, principals, teachers and the parents of the students in both schools have praised the Army’s contribution to making their sports meets successful.
