Two Officers and 20 Other Ranks belong to 1 Sri Lanka National Guard of the 143 Infantry Brigade under 14 Infantry Division controlled a bush fire that broke out in a private land at the general area Hempitigama - Kurunegala within a few hours on Sunday (27).
Troops swiftly reached the affected area and collectively worked to extinguish the spreading of the bush fire before the whole land range caught fire.
The Commanding Officer of 1 Sri Lanka National Guard closely supervised and coordinated the task on the guidelines given by the Commander of 143 Infantry Brigade.
Approximately, the fire has caused damages to ten acres of the entire land.
