In the last few days, 4536 milk powder packets were donated by Fonterra Brands Lanka Company Ltd. to low-income families living under 13 divisional secretariat areas in Colombo District, in combination with the Green Agriculture Operation Centre and Security Forces Headquarters (West).
Similarly, In the second stage of the sponsorship provided by the Fonterra Brands Lanka Company Ltd., 160 milk powder packets were distributed to another 80 low-income families belonging to the Padukka Divisional Secretariat area in Colombo District on 05 December 2023 at the Divisional Secretariat office.
This distribution project has been carried out with the coordination of the Security Forces Headquarters (West) and Divisional Secretariat Office in Padukka.
In addition, all the arrangements for the distribution were well organized with a simple ceremony at the distribution location by Army personnel of Security Forces Headquarters (West) and the 15 Drone Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP.
Furthermore, Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, Commander Security Forces (West), graced the distribution occasion as the chief guest together with the South Asian Managing Director of Fonterra Company Ltd, Mr. Yawwan Wigneswaran.
Moreover, senior officers, officers, the Divisional Secretariat (Padukka), several government officials and other ranks also attended the day's event.
