According to the proper coordination rendered by the officials of Laksiri Textile Pvt. Ltd., Mathara and Army personnel of 3 (v) Battalion Gemunu Watch under 613 Infantry Brigade, another community project was launched by providing school equipment for two needy children who are studying at Horagoda Navodya Vidyalaya and belong to a low-income family residing in Adadola, Horagoda, Thelijjawla on 10 March 2023.
This noble project was initiated by the Commanding Officer of 3 (v) Battalion Gemunu Watch, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division and Commander 613 Infantry Brigade, with the blessing of Commander Security Forces (West).
The donation contained exercise books and other stationery items worth a total of around Rs. 25, 000.00 and Army personnel from the 3 (v) Battalion Gemunu Watch went to the family's doorstep and handed it over to the beneficiaries.
