As per the directions and instruction of the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, with the close supervision of 141 Infantry Brigade, a dilapidated COVID - 19 Patients ward belongs to the Divulapitiya District Hospital in the Divulapitiya Divisional secretariat was Renovated as a Normal ward and handed over to the hospital staff on 20 April 2022.
The troops of 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery and troops of 1 Engineer Service Regiment provided their assistance and technical skills. The funds and resources were provided by the MAS Active Nirmana Pvt Ltd to succeed this noble task.
Brigadier S P G Gamage RWP RSP USP Commander 141 Infantry Brigade graced the programme as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs. Lokuge Director of Human Resources and Sustainable Business of MAS Active Nirmana Pvt Ltd.
The chief guest and sponsors unveiled a plaque at the auspicious time and joined oil-lamp lighting rituals with the participants in accordance with the ancient traditions. Similarly, the chief guest was invited to plant a sapling in the hospital premises.
Few staff Officers of I41 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer of 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, officials of MAS Active Nirmana Pvt Ltd and a few staff of Divulapitiya District Hospital presented at the occasion.
