WEST TROOPS CONTRIBUTE TO EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITION

An educational exhibition was proudly held by Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya - Gampaha in order to mark its 75th anniversary and remarkable service for ages on 15, 16 and 17 of December 2022 respectively at the school premises. Similarly, with the intention of enhancing the knowledge on the Sri Lanka Army, an exhibition stall had been arranged by Army personnel under Security Forces (West).

Upon the request made by the school, this exhibition stall has been placed under the direction of the Commander, Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP with the close supervision of the Brigade Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier L G B Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP.

Accordingly, the preparation work for this exhibition stall was carried out by the Army personnel of 6 Field Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery. Thereby, the Army personnel of 11 Sri Lanka Army Signal Corps had displayed a weapon simulator and Army personnel of the 1 Sri Lanka Army Ordinance Corps had imparted knowledge among school children regarding the equipment needed by an Army soldier on the battlefield, the production process of weapons, the process of retreading tires as well as official insignia of the Sri Lanka Army etc.
