Army personnel of 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery under 141 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) assisted in clearing an uprooted Bo tree which had fallen on to Athtanagalla Road near Lanka Sathosa, Wathupitiwala due to heavy rains.
When that news was reported, Army personnel actively contributed their assistance by deploying an evacuation team including an Officer and ten Other Ranks in liaison with the Road Development Authority - Gampaha and residents in the area in clearing the Bo tree from the road.
