A group of Army personnel, belongs to the 2 (v) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry of 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West), launched a Shramadana Campaign to clean the surrounding area and the accommodations of monks at Kithsiri Mewan Rajamaha viharaya situated in Kelanimulla Grama Niladari Division on 26 February 2023.
As per the directions of the Commander Security Forces (West), one Officer and 10 Other Ranks extended their manpower to this project in response to the request made by the temple.
The Commander, 144 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 2 (v) Sri Lanka Light Infantry closely supervised the project.
