WEST TROOPS CLEAN GALLE FORT BEACH

14 (V) Battalion Gemunu Watch (GW) troops of 613 Infantry Brigade under 61 Infantry Division launched a beach cleaning project along the popular Galle Fort beach which was littered with discarded wrappers, polythene, plastic bottles, empty beer cans, empty liquor bottles, etc. on 02 September 2022.

The project was conducted under the supervision of General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, together with the support of Brigade Commander of 613 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer of 14 (V) Battalion Gemunu Watch.

Around 50 Army personnel of 14 (V) Battalion the Gamunu Watch and few school children were actively participated in this project.
