The Officers and Other Ranks, serving under 61 Infantry Division AOR of the Security Forces (West), had listened to an invaluable lecture topic regarding "A Soldier Brave and Contended," delivered by Lieutenant Colonel R M H P K Rathnayeke, General Staff Officer 1 Directorate of Psychological Operations together with Lieutenant Colonel E A A S Chaminda, Chief Editor of Ranaviruwa Magazine and Major H M S H Bandara, General Staff Officer 2 (Int) Directorate of Psychological Operations, at the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Training School, Boossa on 22 February 2023.
This lecture session has been organized by the 61 Infantry Division under the direction of the Directorate of Psychological Operations and Security Forces Headquarters (West) with the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division, Major General H M U Herath RWP RSP USP hdmc psc. Throughout this lecture, several important facts were emphasized, such as psychological personality, building a brave Army, how to become a great soldier, the history of the battlefield in Sri Lanka, etc.
As per the instructions given by the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, a total number of 19 Officers and 285 Other Ranks, including the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division, participated in this programme.
