Intending to reinforce the existing mechanism for the island-wide vaccination programme against COVID-19, SF – West continue to assist inoculation centres in the AOR.
On the directions of General Shavendra Silva, Head NOCPCO, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Major General Vikum Liyanage, Commander, Security Forces - west instructed respective Division commanders and Brigade commanders to throw their fullest weight to the Vaccination programme.
Further, Commander SF-West did not forget to visit vaccination centres to make sure the proper function of them.
