In parallel to ongoing Island-wide National Dengue Epidemic Prevention Campaigns, troops serving under 14 and 61 Infantry Divisions of Security Forces (West) assisted to launched a Dengue Prevention programme from 03 to 05 Octomber 2022 covering five Districts, including 17 MOH areas belong to Security Forces (West) Area Of Responsibility.
This Programme was assisted under the Direction of the Directorate of Operations and with the close Supervision of the Commander Security Forces (West) and General Officer Commandings of 14 and 61 Infantry Divisions.
During this programme, houses, government and private institutes and religious places, schools and other public places were inspected by the members of the programme. Around 60 Army personnel from 14 and 61 Infantry Divisions, together with medical Officers and public health inspectors from the respective areas and several officials of government agencies were engaged in the programme.
