New Year Festival of Viru Kekulu Pre School - Panagoda was held on 03 April 2024 at the pre-school premises. Major General S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and Mrs. Samangka Fernando, the Senior Lady in charge of Viru Kekulu Pre-School, Panagoda graced this occasion as Chief guests.
Arrival of the Chief guests were welcomed by the pre - school kids offering a traditional sheaf of betel along with the members of the administrative and teaching staff.
The New Year Festival started after lightening the traditional oil lamp and also it consisted with traditional rituals and traditional New Year games with the participation of Pre-school children.
Witnessing these cheerful hours of the New year festival, Mrs Samangka Fernando sponsored for all gifts which were distributed amongst children at the final stage of the event. Further, Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin & Quartering of Security Forces Headquarters (West) also participated for this occasion.
