WELFARE AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR SECURITY FORCES (WEST)

As per the instructions of Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (West), the Directorate of Welfare conducted an awareness program on 28 August 2024 at the 4 Sri Lanka Artillery lecture hall. The program covered various welfare benefits available to Army personnel, including the facilities provided by the Directorate of Welfare, the admission process for Grade 1 for the children of Army personnel, membership details, loan procedures, and the Suwa Sahana Insurance scheme.

Lectures were delivered by Major MKS Morawaka from the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major KDSD Perera from the Sri Lanka Artillery, and Major SDSA Fernando from the Mechanized Infantry Regiment. The event was attended by 20 officers and 70 other ranks from within the cantonment.
