Troops of 14 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-WEST) coordinated a project to distribute dry ration packs among needy families who were affected by flood in the general areas of wellampitiya , Kaduwela and Kelanimulla on 7 June 2021.
A businessman in the area took initiative and sponsored those packs, inclusive of rice, dhal, sugar, milk powder, salt, tea leaves, onions, etc which is worth over 200000 rupees. Troops of 2 Sri Lanka Light Infantry distributed those ration packs and under the project, 100 families were benefitted.
On the directions of Major General Vikum Liyanage, Commander, Security Forces – West and Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Commander 144 Infantry Brigade coordinated the project.
