The 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) has set an inspiring example of a community project by offering meals and distributing school equipment to the Rajagiriya Salvation Army - Elder's Home on 04 May 2023. This noble initiative has not only provided much-needed assistance to the residents of the home but has also brought joy and happiness to their lives.
During the project, troops provided delicious lunch treats to 45 elders and 30 children residing at the Salvation Army - Elder's Home, including its staff members. The provision of a delicious lunch treat at the home was a kind gesture that has surely made a significant impact on their lives. Additionally, the entertainment events organized by the troops have further added to the joy and happiness of the residents.
Meanwhile, troops distributed school equipment to 21 children at the same venue to enhance their education and future prospects. This initiative is a testament to the troops' commitment to empowering the younger generation and ensuring a brighter future for them.
Moreover, the Commanding Officers and Other Ranks belong to the 144 Infantry Brigade, under the guidance of their Brigade Commander, have shown great dedication and commitment to this community project. Their efforts have been commendable, and it is heartening to witness their contribution towards the betterment of society. By the way, this noble community project launched with the blessing of Commander Security Forces (West) and the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division.
