TROOPS OF 57 INFANTRY DIVISION EDUCATED ON MAINTAINING COMBAT AND LOGISTIC MOBILITY THROUGH EFFECTIVE VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

The Commanding Officer of 1 SLEME, Major UER Munasinghe Lsc, conducted a lecture and practical workshop on the importance of vehicle maintenance for Military Transport Officers and Other ranks representing the 57 Infantry Division and its under command Brigades, Battalions, Regimental Headquarters, and Independent installations located in Kurunegala District.

10 x 74 were comprehensively educated on key aspects of preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance, including systematic inspection routines, accurate fault diagnosis, effective documentation, and strict adherence to prescribed technical and safety standards. Special emphasis was placed on sustaining operational readiness, prolonging vehicle service life, reducing the incidence of operational breakdowns, and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient military transport operations. Through practical demonstrations and structured interactive discussions, participants’ technical competence, decision-making ability, and hands on maintenance skills were significantly strengthened.
