A sudden fire broke out at a Paper Bags Factory in Pannipitiya on Thursday(18) April 2019.
On the instructions of Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage the Commander Security Forces (West),One Officer and 13 soldiers of 9(v)SLLI and 142 Brigade under Command to the 14 Division joined hands with the fire brigade teams of the Dehiwala and Kotte Municipal councils, to douse the fire. A water bowser too was sent by the SFHQ (West) to support the effort.
