TROOPS OF 14 INFANTRY DIVISION HAD MORE AWARENESS REGARDING ‘RIOT CONTROL’

On the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (West), Army personnel of 144 Infantry Brigade under 14 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) organized another workshop on ‘Riot Control’ including training and demonstrations, at the 2 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry camp premises in Kelanimulla from 27 October to 03 November 2022.

All the necessities for this timely important workshop have been properly arranged at the location by the Army personnel of 144 Infantry Brigade under the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Commander 144 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer of 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

Army personnel of 8 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 7 Battalion Gemunu Watch, including officers, followed this 7-day workshop. A contingent of Army personnel from the 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry who were experts in the subjects have conducted lectures and discussions, including Q&A sessions, besides field training activities.

During the workshop, Army personnel were enhanced their knowledge regarding the role and tasks of emergency responses for 'Riot Control' and unarmed combat fighting.
