Troops of 10 Sri Lanka National Guard under 14 Division of the Security Force (West) were able to quench a fire broke out at a line of shops in Homagama town at 1500 pm on Monday (21) within few hours.
The fire has erupted at the Institute of ESOFT building at Homagama and expanded to neighboring shops of the area.
Troops of 10 SLNG together with fire fighters and Homagama Police could be able to control the spreading fire. Meanwhile several fire fighting vehicles of Army and the Fire Brigade rushed the location to protect the area.
On the direction of Brigadier Samantha De Silva, 142 Brigade Commander and Maj Canaka Kalansooriya Commanding Officer 10 SLNG along with his troops actively supported to the douse fire.
