In line with the “Clean Sri Lanka” programme, the Ranaviru Seva Coordinating Office – Kurunegala, together with the Sri Lanka Army, organized a special medical clinic on 25 February 2026 from 0900 hrs to 1300 hrs at Nirmala Subasadhaka Samithiya Hall, Kirivawula, Thorayaya.
Programme aimed to enhance the welfare of families of war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice, those disabled in service in the Tri-Forces and Police and their family members. It also helped strengthen the civil-military cooperation in Mallawapitiya and Ibbagamuwa Divisional Secretariat areas.
Two Medical Officers, eleven Nursing Officers, and two supporting staff from the Regional Directorate of Health Services - Kurunegala contributed to the clinic. A total of 150 beneficiaries received medical consultations and treatments primarily focusing on eyes, ears, kidney, and dental care along with the diagnosis of chronic diseases.
The Commanding Officer and troops of 9 SLNG extended essential support under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (West), the GOC 57 Infantry Division, and the Commander 571 Infantry Brigade.
