Officers and other ranks of Islamic faith serving at the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West), conducted a special \'Iftar\' (breaking of fast) ceremony on account of the forthcoming Ramazan festival on Tuesday (14) at the main auditorium, Regimental Headquarters, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC).
6 officers and 75 other ranks serving the SFHQ-West participated in the ritual after conducting a special prayer session.
Afterwards, those officers and other ranks in the company of Major General U.A.B. Medawela, Commander, SFHQ-West, joined the special dinner, comprised of traditional Islamic dishes, arranged to fit Islamic traditions.
Major General Renuka Rowel, Colonel Commandant, SLSC, several senior officers serving at the SFHQ-West also took part in the event.
