As per the direction given by the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General K Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, SF HQ (West) organized a two-day workshop on ‘Minimizing observations from internal audits’. The first day of this workshop commenced on 16 March 2022 at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Army cantonment Panagoda and the second day will be held on 30 March 2022.
The opening address was delivered by the BAQ of SF HQ (West) Brigadier G D R U Galhenage and the workshop was conducted by officers and senior NCOs who are well versed in the subjects covering important topics such as general facts observed during internal audits (using public and non-public funds), regulation of public and non-public funds, Army procurement procedures, emergency engineering services and CES procedures, maintaining vehicles and services, obtaining vehicles from hired basis, gaining a better understanding of G3 and Ration procedures and so on during the first day's programme.
The audience is consisted with 75 Officers and 220 Other Ranks belongs to the SF (West), and the audience was also given an opportunity to clarify their doubts having a Q & A session. Furthermore, this workshop was conducted adhering to the health guidelines against COVID - 19.
