In order to uplift the living standard and the accommodation facilities of soldiers, a renovated accommodation block (30 x 60) was declared open by the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu at the Security Forces Headquarters (West) on 23 November 2021.
The accommodation block is consisted with 29 beds with sanitary facilities and a dining hall for the well-being of the soldiers who serves under this Headquarters. The troops belong to 1 Engineer Service Regiment and the Garrison Engineers of Security Forces (West), contributed with their fully exertion to complete this project a success.
The opening session was followed by a simple ceremony and the few officers and other ranks of Security Forces Headquarters (West) participated at the occasion.
