In accordance with the Commander of the Army’s initiative to prevent Army members from engaging in various criminal and misconduct activities, a series of lectures was organized by Security Forces Headquarters (West) and conducted by Directorate of Provost on 27-28 February 2024 for all Officers and Other Ranks working in the Security Forces Western Region, under the supervision of the Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters (West).
During these lectures, Major V N M Jayasekara Lsc, Commanding Officer of the 1 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, delivered a comprehensive presentation on organized crime, murder, financial fraud, misappropriation of arms and ammunition, drug use/trafficking, child abuse, rape, theft, and online gambling. There are 31 Officers and 694 Other Ranks participated in these lectures.
