SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (WEST) OFFICERS ADORNED WITH MAJOR AND CAPTAIN INSIGNIA PRIOR TO 73RD ARMY ANNIVERSARY DAY

Hon the President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on the recommendation of the Ministry of Defence and Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, attaching significance to the 73rd Army Anniversary Day has promoted a total of 372 Officers of the Sri Lanka Army (Regular and Volunteer Force) and a record 7127 Other Ranks of the Army (Regular Force and Volunteer Force and Extra Regimental Employment Basis) to their respective next rank.

Accordingly, two Captains, the Information Technology Officer-Captain Amila Perera and the English Translator- Captain Gayani Herath and the Aid De Camp to the Commander Security Forces (West)- Lieutenant Roshan Chandrasiri who are performing duties at Security Forces Headquarters (West) have been promoted to the rank of temporary Major and temporary Captain respectively.

Commander Security Forces (West), Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks extended wishes to the newly promoted officers on their well-deserved promotion.
