In parallel to the 74th Independence Day, a special programme has been organized by Security Forces Headquarters (West) premises on 04 February 2022.
The programme commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony and the Brigadier General Staff Brigadier R W Ponnamperuma RSP psc hoisted the National flag, and the national anthem was played. Then there was a two-minute silence in honour of all fallen war heros who made the supreme sacrifice to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the motherland. Afterwards, the Brigadier General Staff addressed all the troops highlighting the significance of Independence Day.
Subsequently, with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks of the Security Forces Headquarters (West) Kumbuk Saplings and Jackfood saplings were planted at the camp premises.
