THE SECURITY FORCE WEST CELEBRATED ITS 5 TH ANNIVERSARY
The Security Force West celebrated its 5th anniversary on 15 November 2017 ceremonially at Army Cantonment, PANAGODA. With the view of bestowing merits on fallen war heros who sacrificed their lives for motherland\" a Bhodhipooja was held at the Bhodirajarama temple premises by Ven Rakwane Chandima thero At 1900 hrs on 13 November 17. The Commander Security Force West, all Officers and other Ranks of Security Force participated for the Bhodhipooja.
On 15 Nov 17 at 0915 hrs, the SF-West Commander was greeted to a guard turnout by the Sri Lanka Engineers troops serving in the SFHQ-West at the main entrance of the Army Cantonment, Panagoda on the anniversary day in accordance with military formalities.
The SF-West Commander afterwards received the Guard of Honour presented by the troops in the company of the parade commander. Later on, the Commander addressed all ranks and an all rank tea brought the event to an end.
