SCHOOL CHILDREN PROVIDED WITH LUNCH IN KURUNEGALA DISTRICT

Army personnel of the 1 Sri Lanka National Guard, belongs to the 143 Infantry Brigade under 14 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) offered a lunch separately to the students of selected 3 schools in the Kurunegala District at the school's premises on 18 January 2023.

All together, 60 students from Siyambalewa Sri Sobitha Primary School, Thambarawa Primary School and Gallegoda Primary School were provided this treat by the Army personnel with the intention of uplift the goodwill between Army personnel and the community in the Security Forces (West) area.

Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, the Commander, Security Forces (West), together with Major General J M R N K Jayamanna RWP, General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division, provided much-needed guidance to the success of the events.

All the arrangements for these community projects were coordinated by Army personnel under the close supervision of the Brigade Commander of 143 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier T M F Kitchilan RWP RSP and Commanding Officer of 1 Sri Lanka National Guard.
