On the concept of the Commander of the Army ‘Thuruliya Wenuwen Api’ (all of us for tree growing) project has to be launched islandwide in near future. In parallel with the project, a donation programme of Plants was held at Icc and Niwasi Developers Pvt Limited, Homagama on Monday (03) June 2019.
On the direction of Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage, Overall Operations Commander (Western Province and Puttalam District) and the Commander – SF (West), Col MKH Mayasinghe Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs SFHQ(West) and Lt Col DGW De Silva Civil Affairs Officer- SFHQ(West) attended to mark this symbolic gift of saplings to the Army. As first stage of the programme, they gifted considerable number of Karanda, Ehela, Mee, Kumbuk and Koboneela saplings.
