Orientation Programmes for Promotions of Officers at SFHQ-West Begin
An orientation programme for officers serving in formations under the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) who are scheduled to appear for promotion and selection examinations, commenced on Tuesday (5) at the Kaluaggala Army Camp on the guidelines given by the Directorate of Training at the Army Headquarters.
The Orientation Programme, to be conducted under four phases, targeting Lieutenant rank to Captain and Captain to Major Promotion Exams and the selection Exams for the Defence Services Command & Staff College and the Army School of Logistics, commenced selecting 160 officers from the SFHQ-West.
The opening ceremony in the first phase of the Orientation Programme was attended by Brigadier W.A.S. Weerawardana, Brigadier General Staff, SFHQ-West as the Chief Guest who delivered the opening address.
